Stand with Marriott Strikers

Workers at the Marriott Hotel in San Jose are still on strike and need your support now. Are you available to help provide groceries for workers on Thursday or Friday this week?

Life in the Bay Area is so expensive and many hotel workers earn such low wages they have to work multiple jobs to make ends meet. They are standing together to demand a new contract and better pay. They are standing up to say: one job should be enough. Will you stand with them?

Striking is a huge and difficult decision for workers and their families. Striking workers do not receive a regular paycheck and rely on the support of their community to get by.

We want to show support for workers by providing families with a bag of groceries. This Thursday and Friday we'll be packing and distributing bags of groceries for striking workers – but we need your help. Will you volunteer an hour of your time this Thursday or Friday afternoon to pack and distribute groceries for striking workers?

On Thursday 11 October, we'll be packing grocery bags for striking workers at Sacred Heart Community Service (map) between 12pm-1pm.

On Friday 12 October, we'll be distributing groceries to workers on the picket line at the San Jose Marriott Hotel on S Market Street (map) at 6pm.

Will you volunteer to sign up for a shift supporting striking workers?
